October, 16 2006 Shamar Rimpoche visited Kalimpong's Shedra.
During his short stay in Kalimpong, Shamar Rimpoche visited the Shedra. He was presented with the building project plans.
Then, Shamar Rimpoche blessed all the students, and gave them instructions.
Professor Harrison Pemberton of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, who presented an intensive introduction to Western philosophy to the Karmapa and a small group of advanced lamas in October 2004 was also there.
Rinpoche and the Professor had a warm discussion about the studients.
